Every family has different needs, different routines and different priorities. The care that works for one family won’t necessarily work for another.
Government policy should reflect that, not force families into a rigid one-size-fits-all childcare system.
Some families use long day care. Others rely on family day care, in-home care, trusted relatives or flexible arrangements. Some parents work FIFO, shift work or weekends. Families in regional, rural and remote Australia often have fewer options or no childcare at all.
We believe parents, not politicians, are best placed to decide what works for their children.
